Andre Denais
Born in the bottom of Texas, I've experienced a long and twisty journey to today, even crossing a few oceans on the way.

Literally! I have over two decades of experience in the marine industry with extensive offshore and inshore sailing, specializing in one-design fleet racing and offshore navigation having sailed on all US coasts and the Great Lakes, as well as fleet operations and maintenance having served as Director of Sailing at Corpus Christi Yacht Club in Texas and Dockmaster at St Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco. The fun doesn't end there. I play guitar, bass, and mandolin as well as produce and DJ electronic music professionally.

After twelve years of small business adventures, I relocated to San Francisco to find my niche in tech and sailing. It was the best decision of my life.

Exploring trends in the film industry worldwide with Tableau. Note the KPI indicators on the top, illustrating a significantly higher profit margin for movies rated PG-13 and R. Interestingly, G rated movies saw mostly losses, illustrating and interesting trend in the industry. The map highlights countries by their profitability, with the obvious leader being the United States, closely followed by China. Something to note here is the similarities in profit margin between Canada and India. Percent of Profit illustrates the margin between Budget and Profit.  While the US might lead in total profit numbers, the margins in China are more than four times as high.
